We store Millie's laundry basket behind her bedroom door.  She loves closing her door, and pulling all of the laundry out of the basket!  She always looks so proud when doing it!!  :-)

Mimi Poppins!

A couple of months ago, I called my mom to see if she wanted to help Jaimeson watch Millie for 4 days, while I (mama) went to Vegas for a Ladies weekend.  Needless to say, Mimi accepted without any hesitation, and would count down the days on the phone with me when we talked!!!!   She was SO AMAZING!!  Millie took to her right away, which was great, because I was leaving on a jet plane shortly after her arrival....and it's the first time I have been away from her for that long.   But Millie and Mimi hit it off like two peas in a pod.  I got play-by-plays while I was away, and I had NOTHING to worry about.....except that I started worrying if Millie would even care if I came back, she was having so much fun :-)   I am so glad that they got this QT....and it was great for Jaimeson and my mom to get some in-law bonding in!!  I was happy to have a couple of days with my mom on either end, so we got to hang and have an AMAZING time!!   When I got home after my fabulous girls weekend (what happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas ) Millie seemed to have grown SO much.  She was giggly and smiley and had a few new curls in her hair!   I loved every minute of it mom, and we know Millie did too!!!   Thanks for being "Mimi Poppins" for the week and letting me have a few nights off!!!!  WE LOVE YOU and can't wait to see you guys in July!!!  xoxoxoxoxoxo

Sunny Day!

Our dear friends, the Cugier's, sent Jaimeson home from Seattle with some special treats for Miss Millie!!!  A new slide and a little scooter!!!  Woohooo...thanks, guys!!!!  It was a beautiful day on Sunday, so we tried spending as much time as possible outside.

10 months old today!

So it seems as though crawling and naps go hand in hand.  Ever since Millie started crawling a few weeks ago, she's been hitting the sheets pretty hard for a good, solid nap each day!!  Yay....we're all happy about that!!  10 months brings 2 teeth, standing and walking around the furniture, more talking (mamamamamamamamamama, dadadadadadadadadadada, and "ter" for Walter), occasional animal sounds, clapping, high fives, attachment to Monkey and jumping higher and wilder than ever in her jolly jumper....at times I feel like she should probably be wearing full hockey gear while she's in it!!!  She's becoming so independent, and wants to do everything herself...especially feed herself!!   She keeps getting cuter with age...if that's possible??!

Keely is Millie's cool, older friend!!  Keely is 20 months and Millie totally looks up to her.  She wanted to mimick everything that Keely was doing!!!  Best Friends Forever!!

Millie Goes to the Aquarium!

Millie visited the Vancouver Aquarium at Stanley Park earlier this week with her Grandpa Jay, Grandma Jill, Mom and Dad, and absolutely LOVED it. 

We got there a little bit late, and had less than an hour to tour before they kicked us out, but we made every minute count. Some of Millie's favorites were the beluga whales (and baby beluga - "Its a Girl!" signs were everywhere), sea otters, seals, porpoises, sharks, and a happy sea turtle. We saw so many beautiful fish with different colors, it was amazing.

Am sure we will be back there very frequently in the future!

Grandpa Jay and Grandma Jill

We had an awesome week with Grandpa Jay and Grandma Jill, who came in to visit us from Florida and brought some good weather with them too!  So many glasses were raised, we nearly lost count...Mother's Day, Jaimeson's birthday, a toast to Jay for helping out with "home improvement" projects and to Miss Millie for her first bike ride, and being such a good girl while we kept her up and out late on several occasions!  

We had an active week and Millie was a trooper through it all....we checked out the Vancouver Aquarium and saw sharks, sea otters and the newest addition to the Aquarium, the one month old, Baby Beluga.  We took a picturesque bike ride on Mama's/aka Mamamamamamamama's cruiser through Stanley Park (shout out to Miron for loaning us that pair of Macneil cruisers - funnest bikes to ride ever!), and did a beachside trail hike....not to mention many delish dinners to boot.   Milliebeans loved it all!

And even though our Monday afternoon sail was cancelled,  atleast we got out for a fun "pitch-n-putt" game on friday, while the weather was still nice.  (I think Grandpa Jay's putter helped he and I to tie in a game of skins!)

It was such a nice visit...the time just flew by.  Thanks for coming to see us...can't wait to see you again soon!
