Fun Weekend!

A cuban lunch at "Havana's"

(notice her V-day shoes)

We were lucky to get a wee bit of sunshine here in the NW this weekend, so we took full advantage of it.  Jaimeson and I have never been ones to celebrate Valentine's Day.   But since it was Millie's first, we decided to head over to one of our favorite neighborhoods in Vancouver, Commercial Drive....on the east side.  It's a very eclectic, diverse mix of people, stores, restaurants....always a good time.   We hit up our favorite restaurant, Havana's.  Millie got dolled up in some stylish duds (including her Valentine shoes...patent red, with little hearts cut out on top...too cute!)  After lunch we did a little shopping and spent some time in the city park, swinging in the sun.

On Sunday, we drove over to North Vancouver....there's an epic little spot called Deep Cove.  A quaint little village tucked into the North Shore of Vancouver....surrounded by moutains and water...the views are incredible.   It's a short drive from the city, but you feel like you're miles away.   We played in the park with Walter and then had a fabulous lunch at "Arms Reach."   Great way to end the weekend!

Old friends and new friends!

Another reason that it was super to return to RI for a visit was to meet our great friends' Nate and Pam's new baby, Olive. She and Amelia got along splendidly, and being that Olive is a few months older, shared notes on everything from sitting to standing to playing with toys. Soo cute!

Thanks for making the effort to come across the Bay to see us, you guys, and hope to see you again very soon.

Sitting up!

Millie started sitting up on her own practically over night.  Last week, we were having to support her a bit so she wouldn't topple over.  And then one day, she decided she could do it on her own, and did!!  Yay, Millie!

Photo-fest!

More Good times in New England!

We were lucky to get to spend some really great, quality time with Millie's great-grandparents, Grandma Joy and Web and Linda Goodwin.  Millie really enjoyed meeting them!!  She also got to hang out with her Great Aunt Lydia and second cousin (is that right?), Alexis!!  Thanks for having us over, guys!  We had a blast!!!

A Special Delivery for GoGo!

What a weekend we have had with the Keegan-Decks in Rhode Island. On Thursday, Julie and Millie flew to Toronto to connect with Jaimeson (there on a business trip), and travel together to Providence. Once again, Amelia lived up to her semi-namesake Amelia Earhardt and flew like a champion on both legs. Ladd and Holly met us at the airport, and after being introduced to their niece for the first time, whisked us away to Warwick Neck to surprise Jaimeson's Mom, aka GoGo, on the very evening of her 60th Birthday!

Shortly thereafter, Ashley joined us from New York City (another surprise, and another introduction to Milliebeans...they got along famously too!) and we had a splendid weekend together, getting professional photos taken together, going to the Green Door Toy Store where we purchased Mr. Monkey (above), hosting a surprise family AND friends party for Mom on Saturday night, and hosting the Buccinni Clan for an outstanding brunch (Ladd and Hols do it right!) and visit on Sunday morning.

Millie got to meet her second cousin, Natalie, an adorable and sweet little 2-year old (with excellent communication skills!). It was amazing to meet her, and get caught up with Aunt Gail, Uncle Steve, Allison and Kevin too (Adam and Molly, we missed you). What a blast!
Next stop - Barrington to see Web and Linda, and then Jaimeson and Julie go to NYC to see Ashley again, and check out Red Bull Snowscraper in Manhattan - more fun!
