5 month old Stinker!

I'm 5 months old today!!

Yaaaaaaaaay Esmee!!! Little Nugget!! Gigglebox!!! Sweet Pea!!! These last 5 months have been nothing short of amazing!! You are such a little superstar in this family and we love you so much!! Thanks for making us smile EVERYDAY!!!
Esmee is now rolling over as of 2 days ago...and she's so proud. She's also trying to sit up from a lying down position. Strong neck! The smiles and giggles are increasing by the second!!
She holds anything and everything you give her. She is wanting to push some teeth through, so teething gadgets are essential these days. Like her big sister, she's an easy going, fun-loving little boogar. She fusses when she's hungry, or if you're not paying enough attention to her....but who doesn't, right?? Happy 5 months, Esmee!!!!!! xoxoxoxoxoxoxo

Lake Chelan

We spent the last weekend of summer in the magical valley ofLake Chelan, with our dear, dear friends the Arnold's and Merce-Gay's. Lake Chelan is located about 3 hours east of Seattle, nestled in the North Cascades National Forest. The climate could not be more different than the Emerald City. Dry and warm most of the year. It is speckled with vineyards and state parks and sandy "warm" beaches. The lake is massive. We stayed at a quaint, cabin-filled resort called Kelly's. Although it was rustic, it definitely beat a tent, and each cabin was well equipped with everything we needed to get cozy and comfy for the long weekend. Good times were had by all!! We'll definitely be back next year.

enjoying our "flights"

at one of the wineries. The boys golfed in the morning, and the ladies hit the vineyards in the afternoon...perfect day!

Warrior!

This photo/story deserves a post all it's own. While out on the boat in Lake Chelan, Millie kept pretty quiet as we raced through the water making a huge wake behind us. She would smile as the wind blew all of us wildly and the boat rocked through the waves! At one point, we stopped the boat and enjoyed the wind-free calm of the air and water. It was in the low 70's that day....hot by most northwest accounts, but pretty chilly to jump into the already chilly waters of Washington. Jaimeson, Justin and Jodes briefly took a dip to "test the waters" but quickly climbed back on the boat, filled with goose-bumps. Walter then decided he wanted to try....so he did, as you saw in the pictures above. Just as we were ready to motor up again, Millie, in her soft-spoken, sweet voice said "mill-mill go in water." We didn't quite hear her, but we were sure she didn't say what she said. Justin started the boat, and louder than the first time, Millie demanded...."MIL MIL JUMP IN!" We couldn't believe it....sweet Millie was determined to "test the waters" for herself!!! Without a lick of fear or hesitation, she jumped in with Daddy....her head was completely submerged and she came up with a look of complete shock!!! But not a single tear or whine. She was quite happy with her jump and very proud....as we all were!!!!! That was all she needed...after that she boarded the boat and was quiet the rest of the way in! THAT'S OUR GIRL...determined little warrior!!! Yeah, Millie!!
