Eat Daddy, Eat!

Sunday Morning!

Enjoying her flight!

Ezzy loves the park!

Down but not out!

We hit a "small bump" in our trip to Rhode Island, when little Ezzy had to be admitted to Children's Hospital for a high fever.  She was such a little trooper, and I couldn't resist capturing her in her hospital duds!!

Good Times for All...and All for Good Times

Gogo and Esmee soaking up the leisure

Its known as "Summatime"in the southern New England vernacular -- a time when the only ice you should find is delivered by a seemingly familiar local in a Del's Lemonade truck, and whether the Red Sox won or lost the previous night, everyone seems just a little happier. Its the best time to be anyplace along the Atlantic coastline really, and Rhode Island is definitely special. We flew out for 10 days, and each of them was spectacular, with the visits from Uncle Ladd and Aunt Holly from D.C., and Aunt Ashley (At-lee, as you'll recall from a previous blog entry) from NYC reaching the 4th of July crescendo. Other highlights from the trip (many of which are not featured here in pictorial): the pool, the beach, hitting waterslides in Misquamicut, the Japanese Steakhouse (thanks, Grandma Joy!), amazing BBQs, a legit tennis match, the baby pool at Go-Go and Grandpa Cliffy's, an awesome brunch in Barrington with Web, Linda, Lydia and Alexis, a few drinks from the bar, Aunt Ashley's super-pal Arley, wagon rides, the family fooseball championship (mysteriously missed by Aunt Ashley), outstanding home-cooked meals (Ladd and Hols are dynamite in the kitchen), D'Angelos sandwiches, a mini-reunion with the Greenhalgh / Huggett posse, relentless viewing of Grandpa Cliff's Disney VHS collection, playing Dress Up with all of the Aunties, the celebration of multiple advanced birthdays, both professional (the club put on a spectacular show) and also amateur (umm, not so bad!) fireworks displays and of course, the 4th of July Parade through Warwick Neck. All in all, what a wonderful summer holiday back east....thanks everyone, and can't wait to see you all again sometime soon...like in Seattle next month (L&H - yeeow!) xo, the good kids
