Tub time!

We recently found this awesome blow up bath tub that fits inside the big tub.  She had outgrown the "infant" tub, so we needed to upgrade.  This one is great, because it's padded for safety and big enough for her to fully splash around...it's like a mini, personal swimming pool.  When (or shall i say "if") it gets hot here this summer, we'll bring it out to the lawn and let her splash around outside!!!  She looks forward to bath time every night!!  Splish Splash.

Rainy days!

It's been pouring rain the last couple of days, so we've been staying inside.  We're used to the rain, and usually don't mind bundling up and heading out for a walk in it.  But the last couple of days have brought wind and a heavier rain than usual.  Millie's been fighting a little cold, so we've opted to stay in and entertain ourselves.

Teething Treats!

Millie:  the only cool thing about teething is these awesome, yummy biscuits (aka: cookies) mom has been giving me to "ease" the pain.  Who said you need teeth to enjoy a little sweet treat?

Mom:  Who knew a biscuit could make SUCH a mess.  I gave Millie this cookie stick, as she has been having some teething issues...her first food that hasn't been puree'd.  Within seconds the thing was everywhere.  It turned to mush and ended up all over her face, the floor, walter (he loved it...except for the bit on his tail that he couldn't reach), her toys, clothes, blanket.  I couldn't believe it!!  A soak in the tub followed shortly after.  But...if the "chewing" didn't ease the pain of teething, the "mess making" sure took her mind off of it!  To date, still no teeth....

Yikes, we're already into month 8.......I feel like a broken record, but where does the time go???I feel like it was just yesterday that we were bringing her home from the hospital!  Millie is changing every day, and checking things off of her "just learned" list at a rapid pace.  She is now rolling over all the time....this is her main form of transportation.  I can start her out in one corner of the room, run to answer the phone (like 5 seconds) and return to her in the opposite corner of the room....usually accompanied by a huge, proud smile!  She hasn't started to crawl yet, but is rocking back and forth on knees and hands, so we think it's just around the corner......guess we need to baby-proof!!!  Millie LOVES to eat...she loves food!!!  So far, she has not rejected anything.  She loves her greens...all veggies, really!!  Peas still seem to be her favorite.  Her new thing is sticking out her tongue (as y0u can see in the second from the last picture)....she always seems to have it out of her mouth.   She is sooooooooooooooo funny!!!  Still not much of a napper (oh well).  She's quite musical.  When Jaimeson or I start singing to her, she starts to bop up and down in rhythm.  It's too cute!!!   She loves playing her little piano, and shaking her maracha.  Walter is starting to bring his toys to Millie, rather than us now, because he's realizing that she's a good play buddy!!!!   When she rolls into him, he instantly grabs a toy thinking she's nudging him to play!!

Weekend re-cap

We had a great, mellow weekend!  Jaimeson was in town (he leaves on Wednesday for toronto) and the weather was beautiful Friday, Saturday and Sunday.  We were surprised to wake up this morning to a few inches of snow and it's still falling!!   We had a sitter on friday night, so Jaimeson and I finally went and saw "Slumdog Millionaire."  For thosewho haven't seen it...it's amazing!!  We met friends for brunch on Main Street on Saturday morning and went for a long hike in the woods.  Sunday we just relaxed at home!!  Great weekend!
