7 months old today!

Big Girl!!! I'm sitting up and seriously thinking about crawling....not quite there yet, though! And I am making up many new words...although mom and dad can't seem to figure out what I'm saying. I'm still a happy-go-lucky girl who LOVES being with my family! And oh yeah....everyone tells me i smile A LOT and I'm super cute!!!!

Thanksgiving Photos (a little late...)

We had a wonderful Thanksgiving in Seattle with our dear friends The Arnold's and The Davidson's. Jason and Ashley graciously hosted the wild bunch at an unbelievable mid-century house that they were sitting for in a North Seattle neighborhood. The view of the Sound was unbeatable and the company and food even MORE unbeatable! This year we aimed to buy as much of our food for the feast from local, organic sources...and in our best estimates, we think we succeeded with 85% + coming from Washington farms and orchards and the rest from Oregon and California! Everyone did their part and the food was DE-LISH!!!!! The kids were great and we were all home and in bed by 9pm!!!

Great Grandma Joy's Birthday Surprise!

My (Jaimeson's) Great Grandma Joy has always held a special place in our family, and in our heart. So when we realized that it was her 90th birthday at the end of November, we decided to hatch a special surprise!

With Jules' encouragement, Esmee and I travelled from Seattle back to RI, via Boston, to deliver a special surprise not only to GG Joy, but also Gogo and Aunt Ashley! Grandpa Cliffy conspired on the plans and did a great job of laying down the law when things nearly got derailed in the final minutes before the surprise.

GG Joy was over"joyed", as was Aunt Ashley, who had yet to meet the latest superstar in our family, Baby Esmee. Esmee also must have also known that this was a big deal, because she was nothing short of the perfect traveller both to and from the east coast. People around us on the flight couldn't believe it.

Aunt Ash only had a day and a half to hang with us (before having to go to work on Monday), so she made the most of it!

Millie Mommy Time!

So... Jaimeson booked a flight to Rhode Island last week, to surprise his Grandma Joy, who is turning 90...wooohooo!!!!! And....he took Esmee with him!!! I just got word that they arrived safely and were a HUGE SURPRISE to his mom, Ashley and Grandma Joy! Cliff was in on it and helped orchestrate. So cool! So, while Jaimeson and Esmee are enjoying special time together, Millie and I get 5 days to PARTY, just the two of us!! We kicked the long weekend off with shopping, playing, playing and playing....and a few treats tucked in! I know Esmee and Jaim are having just as much fun as we are on the opposite coast!!!
