Yay Jay and Jill!

During the past six days, we were treated to an incredibly fun time with Grandpa Jay and Grandma Jill. Being that they live completely across the US from us, this was the first time we've had them up in Seattle since we moved back, so it was extra special. Millie wasted no time in renewing her relationship attempting to make "Dam-ma Dill" her sidekick, and seemed to also enjoy returning Grandpa Jay's meddling tricks back in his direction whenever possible. We're not sure how sincere she may have been since he and Dad took over the TV watching the NCAA tourni for most of the visit!

Grandpa and Grandma brought generally outstanding weather with them from Florida, which we took advantage of to do heaps of stuff outdoors like a hike in the Cascades, playtime at Greenlake, hitting the Ballard Farmer's Market, and even other cool Seattle spots. But even with the sunshine, we had to hit the inflatable playground out at Sandpoint. We're not sure who had more fun, Millie, Jill, or perhaps Jay, who pulled a full somersault down the steepest slide (sadly no photo documentation exists for that event).

Uncle Billy joined us for our hike, too, which rocked. We managed about 3/4 of a really cool trail called Twin Falls one weekend afternoon for a couple hours. Near the end of the journey, there's a 100 or so foot bridge -- fortunately very sturdy -- that rests about 300 feet up and overlooks a beautiful waterfall. Afterward, we had no problems treating ourselves to Paseo, naturally.

Suffice it to say it was great to for all of us to get some awesome QT together, and we are extremely grateful to "Day-an-Dill" for making the trek all the way out to see us and have such a fun week. We'll miss you guys, but know we'll see you soon!

xoxo The Good Kids
